Frequently Asked Questions

1. What are the benefits of ceramic window tint?

Ceramic window tint blocks infrared heat, UV rays, and glare, helping keep your car cooler while protecting the interior from fading and cracking. Unlike dyed or metallic tints, ceramic films like XPEL XR PLUS offer superior heat rejection without interfering with electronics (GPS, phone, radio).

2. Is window tint legal in California?

Yes, but California law requires that front side windows allow at least 70% visible light transmission (VLT). Rear and back side windows can be darker. We offer legal, compliant options and can help you choose the right shade.

3. How long does window tint last?

High-quality ceramic films like XPEL XR PLUS are built to last 10+ years with proper care. They come with a lifetime warranty against bubbling, fading, and peeling.

4. How long does window tint installation take?

Window tint installation time depends on the number of windows, vehicle type, and film type:

  • Front two windows only: 45–75 minutes

  • Full car : 3–4 hours

  • High-performance films (like XPEL XR PLUS): Add 15–30 minutes for precise prep and alignment

We recommend leaving the car with us for 2–3 hours to ensure proper installation and curing, especially during cooler or humid weather.

5. How soon can I roll down my windows after tinting?

We recommend waiting at least 1 day before rolling down windows to allow the adhesive to fully cure. Weather and humidity can affect curing time.

6. Will the tint turn purple or bubble over time?

No. Unlike low-grade dyed films, our tints are color-stable ceramic films that do not discolor. We use only top-tier materials with lifetime warranties.

7. Do you offer different tint shades or levels?

Yes! We offer a range of VLT levels, from very light (70%) to limo-dark (5%), and can recommend the best option based on your visibility, comfort, and legal needs.
