WHY PAINT PROTECTION FILM

Preserve the Paint You Paid For

PPF creates a durable, transparent barrier between your paint and the hazards of everyday driving.
It is designed to reduce damage from common road impacts while helping preserve the appearance and value of the vehicle.

01

Rock Chip Protection

Helps protect high-impact painted surfaces from gravel, road debris and everyday highway driving.

02

Self-Healing Surface

Light surface marks and swirl marks can reduce in appearance when the film is exposed to warmth.

03

Stain Resistance

Provides added protection against bug residue, bird droppings, road grime and environmental contamination.

04

Easier Maintenance

Protected surfaces are easier to wash and maintain than exposed factory paint.

PPF significantly improves paint protection, but no film can prevent every possible impact or form of damage.

THE TOYZ INSTALLATION STANDARD

PPF Is Only as Good as the Installation

Film quality matters, but preparation, pattern planning, edge execution and installation environment determine how the finished vehicle will look. Every vehicle is evaluated individually before installation.

  1. 01

    Consultation and Inspection

We review the vehicle, paint condition, previous repairs, intended use and requested coverage before confirming the installation plan.

  2. 02

    Preparation

The vehicle is washed, decontaminated and prepared so the film can be installed on a properly cleaned surface.

  3. 03

    Precision Installation

Vehicle-specific patterns and installation techniques are selected based on panel shape, access, sensors, trim and paint condition. Appropriate edges are wrapped when the panel design safely allows it.

  4. 04

    Curing and Follow-Up

The film continues curing after installation. Minor moisture, light haze or small water pockets can be normal during the initial curing period.

Qualifying PPF services may include a complimentary exterior wash and installation inspection within approximately 30 days. Appointment required.

Explore all FAQs
What is paint protection film?

Paint protection film, commonly called PPF or clear bra, is a transparent urethane film installed over painted surfaces. It is designed to help protect the paint from rock chips, road debris, light scratches, bug residue and everyday wear.

Does PPF prevent every rock chip?

No. PPF significantly improves protection, but large rocks, sharp debris, high-speed impacts, accidents and objects that puncture the film can still damage the film or paint.

What is the difference between Full Front and Full Body PPF?

Full Front PPF protects the areas most exposed to road debris, including the front bumper, hood, front fenders and mirrors. Full Body PPF covers nearly all exterior painted panels for more complete protection.

Will PPF be completely invisible?

High-quality clear PPF is designed to be visually subtle, but it remains a physical film applied to the vehicle. Depending on the vehicle, panel shape, lighting and coverage, some edges, relief cuts or transitions may be visible.

Can PPF be installed over repainted panels?

In some cases, but repainted panels require special consideration. The paint must be properly cured and bonded. Customers should disclose all previous paintwork or body repairs before installation.

Will removing PPF damage the paint?

PPF can normally be removed safely from healthy factory paint by a trained professional. Repainted, damaged, failing or poorly bonded paint carries a greater risk during removal.

How long does PPF take to cure?

The film may continue curing for approximately one to three weeks depending on temperature, humidity, vehicle design and installation area. Minor moisture, haze or small water pockets can be normal during this period.

How should I wash a vehicle with PPF?

Careful hand washing is preferred. Avoid aggressive brushes, harsh chemicals and directing a pressure washer closely at film edges, seams or corners.
