This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you visit www.toyzdetailstudio.com, request an estimate, book or receive a service, or communicate with us by phone, email, SMS, RCS, or another supported channel.
We are an automotive appearance and protection studio based in Irvine, California. Our services include paint protection film (PPF), colored PPF, window tint, ceramic coating, vinyl wraps, and vehicle detailing, including selected mobile services.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Contact and identity information: your name, email address, telephone number, and mailing or billing address when relevant.
- Vehicle and service information: vehicle year, make, model, trim, color, license plate, vehicle identification number (VIN) when needed, vehicle condition, requested services, inspection notes, photos, and service or warranty history.
- Estimates, bookings, and transaction records: appointment details, estimates, authorized work, invoices, deposits, payment status, transaction references, and information needed for accounting or warranty administration. Payment card processing may be handled by independent payment service providers; please use their secure payment tools rather than sending full card details in a message.
- Communications and preferences: messages, inquiries, feedback, reviews you send to us, customer-support interactions, and records of your communication preferences or messaging consent and withdrawal.
- Website and device information: internet protocol (IP) address, approximate geographic region derived from IP, browser and device characteristics, referring pages, website activity, and information gathered through cookies, pixels, tags, or similar technologies.
- Visual records: photographs or video of vehicles taken for estimates, condition documentation, installation quality control, service history, warranty evaluation, or—where appropriately authorized—public project showcases.
Please do not send Social Security numbers, account passwords, full payment card numbers, or similarly sensitive information through ordinary email, SMS, or RCS conversations.
2. How We Obtain Information
We collect information directly from you when you contact us, use our website, submit a form, request service, or bring us a vehicle. We also collect limited technical information automatically when you use our website. With appropriate authorization, we may receive relevant information from service providers, booking and customer-management systems, payment processors, vehicle owners or their representatives, referral sources, and product manufacturers involved in warranty support.
Some quote or appointment forms may be hosted by a third-party platform, including Shopmonkey. Information submitted through those tools is also processed in accordance with the platform's applicable terms and privacy practices.
3. How We Use Information
We may use personal information to:
- Respond to inquiries, prepare estimates, discuss options, and provide customer support.
- Schedule, authorize, perform, document, and follow up on vehicle services.
- Process payments, maintain transaction records, and administer refunds or disputes where applicable.
- Register eligible product warranties, work with manufacturers, and investigate warranty or quality concerns.
- Send service-related communications, such as appointment confirmations, scheduling changes, estimate updates, installation progress, pickup notifications, and aftercare information.
- Send offers, news, or promotional messages only when permitted by law and, for promotional text/RCS messages, after obtaining any required separate consent.
- Analyze website use, measure advertising performance, improve our services and website, and detect fraud or misuse.
- Comply with legal obligations, maintain required records, protect our customers and team, and establish or defend legal claims.
We may use approved technology and service providers to help organize customer inquiries or assist in preparing responses. A member of our team can be reached using the contact details at the end of this Policy.
4. When We Disclose Information
We may disclose information only as reasonably needed for the purposes above, including to these categories of recipients:
- Business operations providers: website hosting and maintenance, customer relationship management and scheduling systems (including Shopmonkey), email, communications, cloud storage, and support tools.
- Messaging and network providers: providers facilitating telephone, SMS, or RCS communications, which may include telecommunications carriers and platform operators such as Google, subject to their roles and terms.
- Payment and financial administration providers: payment processors, invoicing, accounting, and fraud-prevention services.
- Product and service partners: authorized product manufacturers, warranty administrators, and service partners when needed for a service you request or a warranty claim.
- Analytics and advertising providers: services that help us understand website usage and measure or deliver advertising, as described in Section 5.
- Professional advisers and authorities: legal, accounting, insurance, regulatory, or law-enforcement recipients when reasonably necessary or legally required.
- Successors in a business transaction: if part or all of our business is reorganized, transferred, or sold, subject to applicable law.
Mobile messaging privacy: We do not sell or share mobile telephone numbers, SMS/RCS opt-in information, or messaging-consent records with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We may provide this information to communications vendors acting on our behalf solely to provide the messaging services you requested, manage consent, or comply with law.
We do not sell our customer contact lists or individual vehicle-service records to data brokers. Some website advertising and analytics disclosures, however, may be treated as a "sale" or "sharing" under certain privacy laws even if no money changes hands. Please see Sections 5 and 9 for the relevant explanation and choices.
5. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising
Our website uses, or may use as features are enabled, cookies, pixels, tags, and similar tools for essential website functions, performance analysis, advertising attribution, and campaign measurement. These tools may include Google Analytics, Google Ads, and related Google measurement services. Information made available to these providers may include device or browser identifiers, IP address, pages visited, referral data, and interactions with our site.
Depending on the technologies and settings in use, advertising-related disclosures of online identifiers may constitute "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California privacy law. Where an applicable law requires an opt-out, we will provide and honor the applicable privacy choice, including a recognized browser opt-out preference signal where required.
You can limit many cookies using your browser settings. Blocking certain technologies may affect site features or measurement. Browser-level settings are not necessarily the same as withdrawing consent to receive text messages; you can manage messaging separately as described below.
6. SMS, RCS, and Other Communications
If you initiate a conversation with us or request a response, we may reply about your inquiry through the communication channel you used or authorized, subject to applicable law. With appropriate consent, we may also send appointment reminders, estimate updates, service-status messages, pickup notifications, and other relevant transactional communications.
Promotional SMS/RCS messages are optional. We will obtain any legally required affirmative consent before sending promotional text messages. Giving us a telephone number for an estimate or purchase does not, by itself, enroll you in promotional messaging, and consent to marketing messages is not required to purchase our services.
Message frequency varies based on your requests and the program you join. Message and data rates may apply. To stop SMS/RCS messages from a messaging program, reply STOP to a message from that program. For assistance, reply HELP where supported, call 949-745-3265, or email info@toyzdetailstudio.com. You can also ask us directly to update your contact preferences. We process opt-out requests in accordance with applicable law and platform requirements.
Messages may be transmitted and processed by telecommunications carriers, messaging platforms, and vendors acting for us. Do not use ordinary text messaging to transmit sensitive payment or identity credentials.
7. Vehicle Photos and Project Showcases
We may photograph or record a vehicle to document its initial condition, prepare an estimate, track installation, maintain quality, or support a warranty request. We may publish selected vehicle images in our portfolio or marketing only where we have an appropriate right or permission to do so. We aim to avoid displaying personal contact details, visible documents, or other identifying information unnecessarily. Contact us if you have concerns about a published image of your vehicle.
8. How Long We Retain Information
We retain personal information for only as long as reasonably necessary for the disclosed purpose, subject to applicable legal, accounting, warranty, and dispute-resolution requirements. Retention depends on the type of record:
| Information | Retention approach |
|---|---|
| Inquiries and routine communications | For the inquiry or customer relationship and a reasonable period for follow-up, service history, or dispute handling. |
| Estimates, authorizations, work orders, invoices, and service records | For service administration, warranties, accounting, and required recordkeeping periods; where California automotive repair record-retention rules apply, certain records must be kept for at least three years. |
| Payment and accounting records | For applicable tax, accounting, audit, and dispute-resolution periods. |
| Messaging consent and opt-out records | For as long as reasonably needed to document compliance with consent, opt-out, and messaging rules. |
| Website analytics and advertising data | According to the relevant tool settings, our business purposes, and applicable retention requirements. |
| Vehicle photographs and videos | For relevant quality-control, service, warranty, or authorized portfolio purposes, with reassessment when no longer necessary. |
When appropriate, we delete, de-identify, or securely dispose of records after the relevant period. Legal holds and other lawful requirements may require longer retention.
9. Your Privacy Choices and California Rights
You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information we hold about you, or to change marketing and messaging preferences. Some requests may be subject to verification, legal retention requirements, and other lawful exceptions.
California residents: To the extent the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended, applies to our business and your information, you may have rights to know/access, correct, and delete covered personal information; to opt out of certain sales or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising; to limit certain uses of sensitive personal information; and to be free from unlawful discrimination for exercising those rights. Where required, we will honor qualifying opt-out preference signals and provide additional opt-out mechanisms.
To make a request, email info@toyzdetailstudio.com with the subject line Privacy Request, or call 949-745-3265. Please describe your request and provide enough information for us to locate the relevant records. We may request reasonable verification, but we will not ask you to send passwords or full payment information over email or text. You may also use an authorized agent where permitted by law.
To opt out of marketing emails, use the unsubscribe mechanism in the relevant message when available, or contact us. To opt out of marketing texts, reply STOP to the relevant program or contact us directly. If our site offers a Your Privacy Choices control, you may also use it for the website-data choices it describes.
10. Information Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the information we handle and the services we provide. No website, network, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Please contact us if you believe a communication or transaction involving Toyz Detail Studio is suspicious.
11. Third-Party Websites and Services
Our website may link to external websites, customer portals, payment pages, social platforms, and booking tools. We do not control the privacy or security practices of independently operated third parties. Please review their policies when using their services.
12. Children's Privacy
Our website and services are intended for a general adult audience and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 16 through our website.
