Yes. Initial estimates are free. To receive an accurate estimate, send us your vehicle’s year, make, model, the areas you want serviced, and several clear photos when relevant.
Final pricing may change if the vehicle has existing film, repainted panels, damaged paint, heavy contamination, unusual body modifications, or additional preparation requirements.
We can usually provide an initial estimate remotely. Some vehicles may require an in-person inspection before we confirm the final price, especially when existing film must be removed, paint correction is needed, panels have been repainted, or the vehicle has custom bodywork.
A deposit may be required to reserve longer installations, special-order materials, custom colors, or multi-day appointments. Any deposit requirements will be explained before the appointment is confirmed.
Yes. Many customers combine PPF, window tint, and ceramic coating during the same visit. Combining services can also reduce repeated drop-offs and preparation work.
The time depends on the vehicle, service coverage, preparation work, and installation complexity. Small services may take a few hours, while full-body PPF, colored PPF, vinyl wraps, or multi-service packages may require several business days.
We will provide an estimated completion window before your appointment.

Paint Protection Film
Paint protection film, commonly called PPF or clear bra, is a transparent urethane film installed over painted surfaces. It is designed to help protect the paint from rock chips, road debris, light scratches, bug residue, and other everyday wear.
Premium PPF has a self-healing topcoat that can reduce the appearance of light surface marks when exposed to warmth from the sun, warm water, or normal environmental heat.
Self-healing does not repair deep cuts, punctures, severe impacts, or damage that has passed through the film.
A typical Full Front package includes the front bumper, full hood, full front fenders, headlights, and side mirrors.
Coverage can vary depending on the vehicle and selected package. Additional areas such as the A-pillars, roof edge, rocker panels, lower doors, or rear impact areas can be added separately.
Full Front PPF focuses on the areas most exposed to rock chips and road debris.
Full Body PPF covers nearly all exterior painted panels and provides more complete protection against chips, scratches, stains, and daily wear.
The best option depends on how the vehicle is driven, its value, paint color, storage conditions, and how long the owner plans to keep it.
No. PPF significantly improves protection, but no film can prevent every possible impact.
Large rocks, sharp debris, high-speed impacts, accidents, and objects that puncture the film can still damage the film or paint.
PPF can be installed over existing paint defects, but it will not remove or hide every defect. Rock chips, deep scratches, dents, sanding marks, and paint damage may remain visible through the film.
We may recommend touch-up work, paint correction, or repair before installation.
In some cases, yes, but repainted panels require special consideration. The paint must be fully cured and properly bonded.
Film removal from a repainted panel carries a higher risk of lifting paint than removal from undamaged factory paint. Customers should tell us about any repainting, bodywork, or previous repairs before installation.
Properly installed PPF can normally be removed safely from healthy factory paint by a trained professional.
Paint that is already failing, improperly repaired, poorly repainted, chipped, cracked, or weakly bonded may be damaged during removal. We recommend professional removal rather than attempting it at home.
We wrap appropriate edges when the panel design, access, paint condition, and installation method allow it.
Some edges cannot be safely or cleanly wrapped because of body construction, tight gaps, trim placement, sensors, factory seams, or insufficient film adhesion area.
High-quality PPF is designed to be visually subtle, but it is still a physical film applied to the vehicle.
Depending on the vehicle, lighting, panel shape, installation coverage, and viewing angle, some edges, seams, relief cuts, or transitions may be visible.
Usually, yes. If one area becomes damaged, the film on that panel can often be removed and replaced without redoing the entire vehicle.
Color, finish, and aging differences may need to be considered on older installations.
Premium PPF is designed for long-term use and may last many years when properly installed and maintained.
Actual lifespan depends on the film, sun exposure, driving conditions, storage, washing methods, maintenance, environmental contamination, and vehicle use.
Selected XPEL PPF products are backed by a manufacturer’s limited warranty of up to 10 years, subject to the specific product and current written warranty terms.
PPF should be washed regularly using safe automotive washing methods. Bug residue, bird droppings, hard water, tree sap, and chemical contamination should be removed promptly.
Avoid abrasive compounds, aggressive brushes, harsh solvents, and directing a pressure washer closely at film edges.

Colored PPF & Vinyl
Colored PPF combines a color-change finish with the impact protection of paint protection film.
It is generally thicker and more protective than traditional vinyl and is designed to help protect the original paint from rock chips, light scratches, stains, and daily wear.
Colored PPF is primarily a protection product that also changes the vehicle’s appearance.
Traditional vinyl wrap is primarily a cosmetic color-change product. Vinyl may provide limited protection against light surface wear, but it is not designed to resist rock chips and impacts like TPU-based PPF.
Colored PPF is generally the better choice for customers who want both a new appearance and stronger paint protection.
Vinyl can be a good option for customers focused mainly on changing the vehicle’s color at a lower initial cost.
The right choice depends on budget, intended ownership period, desired finish, vehicle use, and protection expectations.
The lifespan depends on the film manufacturer, product line, color, climate, maintenance, sun exposure, and storage conditions.
Most colored PPF products we currently offer include manufacturer warranty coverage of up to 5 years. Exact warranty coverage will be confirmed before installation.
A quality vinyl wrap commonly lasts around 2 to 4 years in Southern California.
Actual lifespan varies based on the film, color, horizontal surface exposure, sun exposure, vehicle storage, washing methods, and maintenance.
Some bright, fluorescent, metallic, or specialty colors may have shorter expected lifespans.
Not always. Film appearance changes depending on sunlight, indoor lighting, camera settings, screen settings, body shape, reflections, and the vehicle’s original color.
We recommend reviewing a physical sample whenever possible before making a final selection.
Yes. Both products are designed to be removable.
Removal should be performed professionally, especially on older installations, repainted panels, damaged paint, or vehicles with previous bodywork.
Film should not be used as a substitute for proper body or paint repair.
Peeling clear coat, unstable paint, deep scratches, dents, rust, and poorly repaired panels may remain visible and may create adhesion or removal problems.
An inspection may be required before installation.

Window Tint
Toyz Detail Studio installs XPEL PRIME window film, including ceramic options designed to improve heat rejection, UV protection, glare reduction, comfort, and appearance.
Available products, shades, and coverage depend on the vehicle and customer goals.
Both are ceramic window films.
XR Black provides strong heat rejection and a clean appearance at a more accessible price point.
XR Plus is XPEL’s higher-performance ceramic film and is designed to provide greater infrared heat rejection.
Not necessarily.
Heat rejection depends on the film technology, not only how dark the film appears. A high-performance ceramic film can provide substantial heat rejection while remaining relatively light.
We offer windshield film options, including lighter ceramic films designed to reduce heat and UV exposure while maintaining visibility.
Window tint laws vary by location and can change. Compliance depends on the combined visible light transmission of the factory glass and installed film, not only the shade printed on the film.
Customers are responsible for confirming that their selected configuration complies with current law.
The best shade depends on privacy, appearance, interior color, visibility preferences, existing factory glass, and local regulations.
The same tint percentage may look lighter or darker depending on the vehicle and interior.
We can show available film samples and explain the visual differences before installation.
Quality ceramic film is designed to minimize interference with mobile phones, GPS, Bluetooth, keyless entry, and other common vehicle electronics.
Premium ceramic films are engineered for greater color stability and durability than low-quality dyed films.
However, no product should be described as incapable of ever failing. Manufacturer warranty coverage applies according to the current written warranty terms.
Front two windows generally take approximately 45 to 90 minutes.
A full vehicle commonly requires approximately 3 to 5 hours, depending on the vehicle, glass shape, film coverage, existing tint removal, access, and installation complexity.
Exact timing will be confirmed before the appointment.
Wait at least 48 hours before rolling down newly tinted windows.
Cooler temperatures, humidity, and certain vehicle designs may require additional curing time.
Some moisture, small water pockets, light haze, or temporary distortion can be normal immediately after installation.
These conditions should improve as the film dries. Drying time varies with temperature, humidity, film type, and glass design.
Do not press, pick, or scrape the film. Contact us if a concern remains after the curing period.
Yes. Existing tint can usually be removed before new film is installed.
Removal time and cost depend on the age, adhesive condition, number of windows, film quality, and whether the rear glass contains sensitive defroster lines or antennas.

Ceramic Coating
Ceramic coating adds a durable protective layer that improves gloss, water behavior, ease of cleaning, and resistance to environmental contamination.
It can help reduce the bonding of dirt, bug residue, and other contaminants, but it does not make the vehicle maintenance-free.
No. Ceramic coating does not provide meaningful protection against rock chips or impacts.
PPF is the correct product for impact protection. Ceramic coating can be applied over PPF to improve gloss, water behavior, and ease of maintenance.
No. Ceramic coating does not remove scratches.
Paint correction may be performed before coating to improve the finish. The amount of correction recommended depends on the paint condition, customer expectations, and selected package.
Not every vehicle requires the same level of correction.
New vehicles can still have swirl marks, sanding marks, water spots, dealership preparation damage, or other defects.
We inspect the paint and recommend the appropriate preparation before application.
Yes. Ceramic coating can be applied over compatible gloss or matte PPF.
The coating can make the surface easier to clean and help maintain the film’s appearance.
Products and preparation methods must be selected for the specific finish.
Durability depends on the coating product, preparation, number of layers, vehicle storage, mileage, washing methods, maintenance, and environmental exposure.
No coating should be described as permanent.
We will explain the expected durability and maintenance requirements for the selected package.
Ceramic coating generally requires 1 to 2 business days for washing, decontamination, preparation, paint correction when selected, application, and initial curing.
Full curing continues after delivery. Customers will receive service-specific washing and aftercare instructions.
Yes. Optional coating services may be available for wheels, brake calipers, exterior glass, PPF, painted surfaces, and selected interior materials.
Availability and preparation requirements depend on the vehicle and material condition.
No. The vehicle still requires regular, proper washing.
Ceramic coating makes routine maintenance easier, but dirt, road film, hard water, bug residue, bird droppings, and contamination still need to be removed.

Detailing
Yes. Selected detailing services may be available at our Irvine studio or as a mobile service, depending on the service, vehicle, location, weather, access, and scheduling availability.
Service coverage depends on the selected package.
Detailing may include hand washing, wheels and tires, interior vacuuming, surface cleaning, glass cleaning, decontamination, paint enhancement, stain treatment, and other services.
Review the selected package carefully because add-ons, heavy contamination, pet hair, stain removal, biohazards, excessive dirt, or specialty work may cost extra.
No. Results depend on the material, damage depth, age, previous repairs, contamination, and condition.
Some stains, scratches, etching, wear, discoloration, and material damage may improve without being completely removed.
Yes, but heavily soiled vehicles may require additional labor and charges.
Examples include excessive pet hair, sand, mud, spills, mold concerns, bodily fluids, strong odors, adhesive residue, or vehicles that have not been cleaned for an extended period.
We may request photos or inspect the vehicle before confirming the price.
The best schedule depends on driving habits, parking, passengers, pets, mileage, weather exposure, and personal expectations.
Many customers choose maintenance service every two to four weeks, while deeper detailing may be completed several times per year.

Installation & Aftercare
Wait at least 7 days before washing the vehicle unless our team gives different instructions for the specific installation.
After that, hand washing is preferred.
Do not direct a pressure washer closely at film edges, do not pick at edges, and do not aggressively rub visible moisture pockets.
Minor moisture, small water pockets, light haze, or temporary texture can be normal during the initial curing period.
PPF may continue curing for approximately 1 to 3 weeks depending on temperature, humidity, film, vehicle design, and installation area.
Do not press, puncture, or attempt to remove moisture yourself.
Do not pull, trim, glue, or press the area yourself.
Take a clear photo and contact Toyz Detail Studio as soon as possible. Early inspection often makes corrections easier.
Yes. Customers may contact us to schedule a complimentary exterior wash and installation inspection within approximately 30 days of qualifying PPF services.
The exact timing and eligibility may vary by service, so confirm the follow-up appointment with our team.
Touchless washing is generally safer than a brush wash, but careful hand washing is preferred for vehicles with PPF, ceramic coating, vinyl, or colored PPF.
Automatic brush washes can create swirl marks, lift edges, damage finishes, or shorten product lifespan.
A pressure washer may be used carefully from a safe distance.
Do not hold the nozzle close to edges, seams, corners, sensors, badges, or damaged areas. Avoid aggressive pressure and narrow high-impact spray patterns.
Follow the aftercare instructions provided at delivery.
During the initial curing period, avoid washing the vehicle, allowing water to dry on the surface, parking under sprinklers, or leaving bird droppings and contamination untreated.
Contact us if the vehicle gets wet or contaminated during the initial curing period.
Remove important personal items, valuables, loose accessories, child seats when practical, garage remotes, and anything needed during the installation period.
Make sure we have any required wheel locks, special keys, security instructions, or access information.

Warranty
Many film and coating products include manufacturer warranty coverage.
Installation workmanship and manufacturer material warranty are separate issues and may have different terms.
Exact coverage depends on the selected product, registration requirements, vehicle use, maintenance, damage type, and written warranty terms.
When electronic registration is available and required, we can assist with registering eligible products using the customer and vehicle information provided.
Customers should retain their invoice, warranty confirmation, product information, and related records.
Coverage varies by product.
Depending on the written terms, a manufacturer warranty may cover qualifying defects such as excessive yellowing, cracking, bubbling, delamination, discoloration, or adhesive failure.
Normal wear, accidents, impact damage, improper maintenance, neglect, environmental contamination, paint failure, body repairs, and third-party damage are generally handled differently or may be excluded.
Usually not.
Damage from rock impacts, collisions, scratches, vandalism, pressure washing, improper washing, road debris, body repairs, accidents, or external causes is generally not considered a manufacturer defect.
A damaged section may still be replaceable at the customer’s expense or through insurance.
Coverage varies by manufacturer, product, warranty claim, and written terms.
Our team will review the concern, installation records, product registration, and applicable manufacturer policy before confirming coverage.
Transferability depends on the manufacturer and product.
Contact Toyz Detail Studio with:
- Customer name
- Vehicle year, make, and model
- Service date
- Invoice or service record
- Clear photos and videos
- Description of the issue
- When the issue first appeared
- Any recent repairs, accidents, polishing, detailing, or bodywork
We may need to inspect the vehicle before determining whether the issue relates to installation, product warranty, impact damage, paint condition, maintenance, or another cause.
Manufacturer film warranties generally cover qualifying film defects, not unrelated vehicle paint failure.
Factory paint defects, repainted panels, weak clear coat, rock chips, corrosion, previous repairs, and existing damage may not be covered.
Exact coverage must be determined under the current written warranty terms.
