The Finished Look
From DTLA to Irvine for a 992 Specialist
After seeing Toyz’s body of Porsche 992 work, the owner deliberately brought the newly delivered Carrera 4S Cabriolet down from DTLA for this project.
Preserve the New-Car Finish
The car arrived with no pre-existing PPF, tint or ceramic coating. The plan was full exterior protection and straightforward care while preserving its factory gloss finish and Cabriolet character.

Clear, gloss XPEL ULTIMATE PLUS protects the exterior painted body panels while keeping Vanadium Grey Metallic visible. The scope also includes exterior gloss-black pieces, carbon-fiber pieces where present, and headlights.

The exterior color, soft top and Heritage Design interior are Porsche factory features. Clear, gloss protection preserves their contrast without changing the vehicle’s design.

XPEL PRIME XR Plus was installed on the windshield, side windows and rear glass. The fabric Cabriolet roof is not a tint surface.

PPF Care
Follow the delivery instructions for curing and washing. Use gentle, non-abrasive cleaning methods and avoid directing high-pressure water at film edges.
Window Tint Aftercare
Do not roll down freshly tinted windows on the day of installation. The windows may be rolled down normally starting the following day. Follow any additional installation-specific care instructions provided at delivery.
Ceramic & Film Cleaning
Follow the product-specific curing and cleaning instructions provided at delivery. Next-day window operation does not mean next-day film cleaning. Keep ceramic inspection and care requirements separate from window-tint aftercare.
