The owner came to Toyz through a Tesla referral relationship and brought the Model Y Performance in for protection and window tint. It arrived without pre-existing PPF, aftermarket tint or ceramic coating.

Clear, gloss PPF preserves the factory Glacier Blue appearance. The front-side tint was chosen to visually match the darker factory privacy glass behind it, while the windshield received its own 55% XR Plus film.

Full-Body Protection, Factory Gloss
XPEL ULTIMATE PLUS clear, gloss PPF covers the exterior painted body panels while keeping the Glacier Blue finish visible. The scope also includes the exterior gloss-black pieces, any exterior carbon-fiber pieces where present and the headlights.

Glacier Blue Outside, White Inside
Glacier Blue gives the Performance a cooler, lighter exterior palette, while the white cabin keeps the interior visually bright. Dark Performance wheels and factory red brake calipers add contrast to the blue bodywork.
The red brake calipers are factory hardware. This project included PPF and window tint; it did not include caliper repainting or ceramic coating.
Matching the Front Glass to Factory Privacy Glass
The two front side windows received 20% XPEL PRIME XR Plus film to visually match the darker factory privacy glass behind them, creating a more uniform side-glass appearance. The windshield received 55% XR Plus separately.

Window Tint Aftercare
Do not roll down freshly tinted windows on the day of installation. The windows may be rolled down normally starting the following day. Follow any additional installation-specific care instructions provided at delivery.
Tint Cleaning
Follow the delivery instructions and XPEL film-care guidance for cleaning. Use soft, non-abrasive materials and do not scrape or use abrasive cleaners on the film.
PPF Care
Follow the PPF care instructions supplied at delivery. Use appropriate, non-abrasive washing methods and keep high-pressure spray away from film edges.

Was this a full-body PPF project?
Yes. XPEL ULTIMATE PLUS clear, gloss PPF covered all exterior painted body panels, exterior gloss-black pieces, exterior carbon-fiber pieces where present and the headlights. Door jambs, hidden painted areas, taillights and the glass roof were outside the scope.
What window tint was installed?

Did Toyz tint the rear windows or glass roof?
